This Society may issue Statutory certificates in accordance with the terms of its recognition by the flag Administration(s).
A certificate is issued or endorsed after the relevant surveys are passed.
A certificate may be issued, valid for a short time period, listing corrective action to be rectified for minor deficiencies which do not prevent the issuance of a certificate to the ship.
For all Conventions, the Administration(s) empower URS to withdraw or invalidate a certificate if the required corrective action is not taken.

This society may accept installation of marine products/appointing service providers only which are approved by any IACS member.
Only valid type approval certificates are accepted.
